Role Overview: We are seeking a Google Workspace Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge of Google apps like Gmail, calendar, drive, docs, photo etc., Google Cloud, Google Analytics, and Google Workspace administration. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting and managing the seamless migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Google Workspace Administration & Configuration:
- Manage, configure, and optimize Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, etc.).
- Implement security policies, access controls, and compliance settings within Google Workspace.
- Perform audits and troubleshoot issues to ensure a secure and optimized environment.
Google Cloud & Analytics Expertise:
- Leverage Google Cloud solutions for seamless data migration and storage optimization.
- Utilize Google Analytics to analyze user behavior, optimize usage, and improve collaboration efficiency.
Migration Strategy & Execution:
- Design and develop a comprehensive migration strategy from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
- Identify dependencies, assess risks, and defi ne mitigation plans to ensure a smooth transition.
- Support migration tools, data transfer, and post-migration validation to ensure
data integrity.
Validation & Post-Migration Support:
- Conduct rigorous validation and data integrity checks post-migration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address issues and optimize performance after migration.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with IT, security, and business teams to defi ne migration goals and timelines.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and ongoing support to end-users during and after migration.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8 years of hands-on experience managing Google Workspace environments.
- Strong understanding and experience of Google workspace apps like Gmail, Drive, photos etc.
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Google Analytics.
- Proven experience in Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations.
- Hands-on experience with migration tools like BitTitan, CloudM, or Google Workspace Migrate.
- Strong understanding of security configurations, access management, and compliance policies.
- Ability to analyze migration challenges, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
