Dispatcher
Position Summary:
A Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination of the utilization of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity, and ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for our next problem-solving Dispatcher. We’re looking for an organized dispatcher to help our growing customer base and field team prioritize service calls. You'll be responsible for preparing work schedules and handling customer requests and complaints. You’ll also communicate with field units and customers using two-way radios, telephones, and messaging apps. You have data entry experience, basic computer skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. $50,000 - $65,000 yearly DOE
Responsibilities:Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

- Scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs.
- Ensure the disposal plan is followed.
- Communicate available inventory with sales management/customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure route completion each day and coordinate with management regarding driver performance.
- Create and maximize capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets, equipment, and drivers.
- Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals by successfully routing vehicles.
- Generate productivity reports daily and distribute them to management.
- Compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations including DOT Hours of Service procedures.
- Coordinate in conjunction with management all driver’s PTO to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain DOT files, HOS logs, drug screen programs, and set up of phones for drivers in conjunction with the controller’s oversight.
- Maintain and update the Risk Management portal to track and monitor claims.
- Applicant with experience working with people in stressful and dynamic conditions is preferred
- Previous work in a customer-facing position
- Candidates with 1 years of experience as a service dispatcher are preferred
- Candidate must have great customer service communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred

- Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
- Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, customers, and vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Years of Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of commercial vehicle dispatch in a service-based business.
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, And Software Used:
- Usual office equipment including computer, telephone, copier, and calculator.
- Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office environment.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard, mouse, or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation.
