Job Summary
The Commercial Leasing Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing leasing operations for commercial and retail properties around WNY and beyond.
This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing leasing processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maximizing occupancy rates while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full leasing cycle, from marketing available spaces to negotiating lease agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Oversee legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Utilize property management software such as OneSite for tracking leases, tenant information, and maintenance requests.
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective advertising strategies for available spaces.
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant applications, lease agreements, and other administrative functions.
- Handle conflict management effectively, mediating disputes between tenants or between tenants and management.
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, lease expirations, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is not required but preferred
- 3 years of commercial and or retail real estate industry experience with a proven track record of success
- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset. Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Customer service-focused interpersonal skills.
- Must have an active driver's license.
