Academy Bus is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to support our IT System Administration, maintenance, network, and help desk needs at our Northeast locations. This position will be primarily based at our corporate office in Hoboken, NJ however will require occasional travel to other locations on the East Coast.

- Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining computers, network devices and infrastructure.
- Offering technical assistance with configuration, set up, maintenance, and trouble shooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.
- Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
- Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.
- A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in installing network wiring.
- An openness to learning new technologies.
- Windows network environment (on premise AD.) Office 365, Cisco routers, fire walls, and switches.
- VMware Horizon and Hyper V virtual servers and desktops.
- Rapid7 insightIDR and InsightVM. Carbon Black enterprise Endpoint and EDR.
- Sonic wall VPN.
- Hosted VOIP Phone System.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- 3 Years of prior relevant experience.
- Proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management.
- Understanding of Mobile technology and OS (i.e., Android, iOS), VMware technology.
