Description:
This role supports the R&D Manager in product development and commercialization along with the execution of daily lab-related activities. Daily duties include:
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: This can be a physical job, and they will not just be sitting at a desk. That being said, being good on computers is a huge plus. They want someone who is eager to learn, put forth effort on a daily basis, and take good direction from supervisors.
- Procures raw materials from the warehouse
- Makes multiple bench sample batches daily
- Conducts daily analytical testing of experimental products and developing QC specifications
- Records data in Deacom
- Cleans and sanitizes the lab – washing dishes, cleaning shelves, appliances, etc.
- Stocks and maintains lab supplies
- Maintains record of experimental samples submitted to customers
- Prepares for cuttings and participates in sensory evaluation
- Is flexible and prepared to change daily priorities as directed

- Bachelor degree in chemistry, food science, biochemistry, biotechnology
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds and walk or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to navigate safely through an industrial environment (forklifts, stairs, shelves)
- Must be able to both work independently and be willing to take direction.
- Moderate computer skills - MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Must communicate effectively and possess strong written and verbal skills.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
