What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk (AH33233) position at Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions?
A global freight forwarding company is currently looking for an Jr. Level Accounting Clerk to for their office near the JFK International Airport. This position will be responsible for AP/AR, journal entry, bank reconciliation, and other accounting duties. The ideal candidate will be familiar with any accounting systems. This is a full-time and direct hire position with an excellent benefits package. Entry level is also encouraged to apply.
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger duties, such as payroll journal and allocation of expenses and employee expense settlements with credit card statements.
- Prepare monthly reports
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Assist with reviewing payroll records etc. as assigned
- Accurate data entry with ERP systems
- Other duties as assigned
Accounting Clerk Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent work experience
- 1 year corporate accounting experience is preferred
- High-volume data processing skills and multi-tasker
- Strong organizational skill, attention to detail, and time management ability
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel (Advanced Level)
- 100% on-site work (NO Hybrid / Remote work available)
