What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Technician position at ADC?
Growing I.T. Consulting firm in far west suburbs looking to add technician to handle immediate need tech support calls. Looking for Full or Part-time.
Responsibilities include:
- Initial ticket response. You will be the first point of contact for support.
- Remote assistance/troubleshooting.
- password resets
- new user creation/deletion
- patch management
- Provide back-up support for the IT field team
- Some travel to client site will be required
- Rotating emergency hours schedule – not a lot, but some
- Strong communication skills and a great personality.
- Training end users - As the position develops, training of end users on best practices and other topics will be required.
The right candidate will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and coworkers
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong multitasking - ability to handle multiple tickets and projects concurrently
- Ability to write and present information and documentation
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- At least 1 year experience installing/uninstalling PC hardware/software a plus
- Have a basic understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and printers is a plus
- Positive attitude - required
- Willingness to learn
