Job Description:
The Reimbursement Specialist will be responsible for managing medical records and reimbursement processes to ensure compliance with payer requirements. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance payers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clinicians and office staff via phone, fax, and email to collect necessary patient medical records.
- Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with payer policies.
- Draft and submit medical record cover letters and supporting documentation to insurance payers.
- Address missing information by contacting patients, physician offices, and internal teams.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, clinician offices, and sales managers regarding billing and reimbursement processes.
- Investigate and report payer trends, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work on billing-related tasks and ensure productivity goals are met.
- 2 years of consistent tenure in a similar role.
- Experience in medical records handling, particularly in appeals or claims-related processes.
- Knowledge of lab billing is a plus.
- Ability to type at least 30 WPM with 90% accuracy (typing test required).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST.
- Start Date: March 1, 2025.
- Interview Process:
- Initial Zoom interview with hiring managers.
- Final virtual interview with the Director.
- Training: Onsite training in Houston (all expenses covered).
- Dress Code: Casual (no pajamas).
- Environment: Fully remote.
