What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seat Assembler position at Adient US LLC?
JOB DESCRIPTION
4.0 Process
* Complete assembly of automotive seating units
* Develop proficiency in all production job functions and rotate in job cell into various work stations
* Control processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
* Maintain good housekeeping, safety, meet quality and efficiency standards
* Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper work flow
* Monitor production material quantities and report shortages
* Ability to lift and/or carry 35 lbs. repeatedly
* Complete, assembly of quality seating units
* Walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, pull, push to move product through build process
* Use of hand-held pneumatic tools
* Operation of assembly fixtures
* Housekeeping in and around work areas
* Problem solving of work place issues
* Quality inspections of work in progress
* Work as part of a team to ensure on-time quality product to our customers (internal and external)
* Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around facility
* Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
* Comply with company rules, policies, and practices
* Understand Statistical Process Control and maintain charting as required
* Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear
