Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in banquet and catering environments, demonstrating a passion for food preparation and presentation. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests by preparing high-quality dishes in a timely manner while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items for banquets and catered events according to established recipes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service during events.
  • Work as a team to get everything done
  • Take direction from the Executive Chef
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, focusing on presentation and taste.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

  • Proven experience in banquet or catering settings, with a strong understanding of food service management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, with a passion for culinary arts.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Knowledge of health regulations and food safety practices essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Shift:

  • Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus opportunities
  • Overtime pay

Work Location: In person
