**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. This individual will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients, employees, and visitors requiring acute medical attention.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to patients in various settings, including the hospital and medical college
- Respond to emergencies such as code blues, code strokes, and rapid response pages
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to stabilize decompensating patients
- Facilitate movement of patients to higher levels of care when necessary
- Assist visitors and staff after code gray situations
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
- Holds current RN Registration to practice in the State of New York
- A minimum of three (3) years recent Intensive Care clinical experience in specific patient populations served
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Quality Reports and Hospital Policy and Procedures
