Job Overview
As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations within Alpha’s Zero supply chain. You will be working internally with leadership, sales, general operations, as well as accounting teams to optimize our business’ supply chain and align it with growth goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Strategic Planning- Strategic logistics planning will include setting KPI’s for productivity, speed, and order accuracy (among other metrics), analyzing data collected, and implementing process improvements wherever possible.
● Internally as a member of senior management, the Director of Operations, you will be communicating directly as well as connecting with both executives and employees and balance the demands of each.
Overseeing Staff
· Assistant Director of Operations. This person is assigned under you in any capacity you see fit for your direct position responsibilities or as delegated to any other areas within operations you need assistance in.
● Sales team. This function would include working with the sales manager/sales team that we are achieving our company goals, making sure the sales team is following all company guidelines related to sales processes and procedures.
● Transportation Specialists. This function would include overseeing and working with the operations manager and team members to ensure all duties are being met daily. This will also include managing reports and making sure margins are within company expectations and guidelines.
● Interns. As interns they will be assigned as needed in different areas of our operation. Your responsibility will be to ensure that on the days they are working that the department manager uses them throughout their day and has clear assigned duties.
Staffing
· As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for motivating and managing all the teams and individuals that keep business operations running. As Director you will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training new staff.
Other duties assigned.
· Establishing relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best prices for services.
· Ensuring that compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation/authority are met.
· Preparing budgets for operations based on projected demand.

Planning
· Planning for the team’s success will include developing budgets and creating goals for each department.
· Assist department leaders by determining the resources they need to complete their tasks.
