We are looking for Apprentices to join in our 12-Month Digital Labs Global Digital Product Enablement – Digital Business Accelerator, which will give you real on-the-job work experience. Our Program has been designed to nurture the next generation within the Digital Product space.
Amex Digital Labs is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing emerging products and platforms that can be essential to our customers’ digital lives. We strive to emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation.
The Global Digital Product Enablement team focuses on delivering product knowledge strategically across the organization and leading go-to-market strategy and operations across various digital initiatives. The individual will partner on the project management of new and existing initiatives and support additional process improvement, audit-related, and program or executional tasks as needed. They will work closely with colleagues within the Global Digital Product Enablement team and cross-functional business partners such as Product Development, Business Development, Legal, Compliance and Operational Excellence.
A typical day (Responsibilities):

Develop project trackers and overview decks, maintain ongoing project update meetings, and regularly communicate with business partners regarding product strategy and project updates

Assist in end-to-end internal management for the launch or decommission of products, features or capabilities, and various membership pilots/experiences

Support efforts to build and implement process improvement and develop toolkits/resources across Amex Digital Labs to support learning agenda and increase speed to market

Raise project issues and organize appropriate plans to avoid compromising delivery

Assist with the project management of audits as necessary, including tracking and submitting the deliverables requested, serving as a working group liaison and monitoring improvement efforts that may be required as a result of the findings

Contribute to product ideation through customer, merchant/partner, and internal stakeholder feedback to problem-solve obstacles and produce solutions
Qualifications

Either a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree
Skills Needed (Qualifications):

Interpersonal, communication, collaboration skills to work with partners across different functions and with colleagues at all levels

Highly organized and ability to display confidence to drive results against timelines and lead multiple priorities at once

Proficient in MS Office and coachable PowerPoint skills to build visual presentations for storytelling

Demonstrated creative thinking to problem-solve

Self-starter with a strong work ethic who can excel in a dynamic environment

Desire to learn consumer behavior and digital trends across categories and strong passion to want to work on initiatives within the evolving digital and mobile landscape
The Apprenticeship is a temporary employment opportunity consisting of a bootcamp followed by a 12-month program which will provide on the job work experience. If selected, your apprenticeship training will take roughly 10% of your time each week. On-the job work begins in the event you successfully complete the initial bootcamp. At the end of the 12-month Apprenticeship, you may apply for a permanent, full-time role with American Express.
Salary Range: $20.00 to $38.45 hourly bonus benefits
