Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HR / Hiring Manager to oversee and facilitate the hiring of handymen for our expanding operations. This role requires a proactive individual who understands the nuances of hiring in the handyman or construction sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic hiring plans to recruit skilled handymen across several locations.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from posting job ads to conducting interviews and finalizing hires.
- Work directly with the owner to fill their calendar and provide detailed reports on each candidate.
- Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and required job qualifications.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the handyman and construction industries to effectively vet and recruit candidates.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide training and orientation for new hires.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade schools, vocational colleges, and industry associations to source candidates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources OR EQUAL PROVEN EXPIERENCE WITH REFERENCES
- Proven HR experience, specifically in hiring within the handyman or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple locations.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
