What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Closer / Balancer position at American National Bank & Trust?
Perform closing functions that include preparing closing instructions and preparing closing disclosures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assigns files to closing staff and monitors pipeline for upcoming CD’s when head closer is out of the office
- Reviews and prepares closing instructions for department loans
- Reviews and prepares all closing disclosures
- Make sure all files in Encompass are accurate for reporting for management.
Position Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of American National Bank and Investor regulations regarding funding of loans
- Ability to read and understand mortgage documents.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare related reports
- Ability to use all office machines and proficiency in computer programs
- Accuracy in balancing loan closing disclosure of utmost importance
- Ability to communicate with title company personnel, legal team, agents, builders, and Bank personnel
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending requirements regarding legal matters, funding restrictions, etc.
- Ability to work under pressure, time management, attention to detail and work closely with other employees.
- A minimum of one year mortgage closing experience.
