MAIN JOB FUNCTION
Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules, while meeting the safety, quality, scrap, and efficiency goals of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
- Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization.
- Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required.
- Analyze data and coordinate the movement of raw material supply, tooling and finished goods demand.
- Follow-up as required with all departments to expedite flow of materials, tooling, Quality and Engineering documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
- Manage Weekly Production Scheduling meeting
- Document meeting and provide minutes to team
- Inform group of any production issues pending resolution
- Inform group of any inventory issues with inventory programs pending resolution
- Share warehouse aged inventory updates
- Coordinates on-time shipment and deliveries
- Coordinate daily activity to track location and movement of production, inventory, finished goods and raw materials.
- Perform weekly physicals on packaging supplies and order materials as necessary.
- Coordinate and communicate inbound/outgoing dock appointments using the online outlook receiving and shipping schedule.
- Manage the stocking levels of stocked raw materials by coordinating the delivery of materials when needed.
- Respond to customer service regarding questions about expediting jobs or shipping information.
- Create work orders to meet customer orders and reorder points and schedule them in a timely manner.
- Track finish goods inventory demands and alert Sales team of any change
- Track work orders to ensure they abide by 72-hour MOQ or on approval list
- Communicate best date requests with Sales team
- Communicate with Customer Service team projected restocking of inventory programs
- Communicate with Customer Service when orders are running behind or ahead in the schedule.
- Set up routers for new part numbers and production sample runs. Maintain routers per ECN changes.
- Change pricing for raw materials when there is a change in price from suppliers
- Prepare and ship UPS items
- Maintain inventory stock of Sample Room
- Send tracking details to
- Assist with scheduling outbound freight and preparing Bills of Ladings.
- Place purchase order and schedule delivery of materials based on demand
- Supplier Approval Documentation: Ensure all vendors are current on current and compliant with BRC documentation
- All other assignments as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Degree or Diploma or the equivalent
Associate Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
Two to Three years’ logistics, warehouse, planning and inventory experience preferred
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work independently
Must be detail oriented with good follow-through
Must be a self-starter
Strong computer and math skills
Good communication skills to deal with many people in various departments
Ability to work with other department(s) personnel levels
Must have an understanding of all GMP, AIB, and ISO procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
STANDING: Must be able to pull skids of raw and finished materials.
BENDING: Must be able to bend to floor to pick up cartons of materials.
REACHING: Must be able to reach five feet high to get/place cartons of raw materials.
LIFTING: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
MANUAL
DEXTERITY: Must be able to write clearly. Must be able to use the computer keyboard.
VISUAL: Must have good vision to read small part numbers, reports and CRT screen.
SPEECH: Must be able to communicate over the phone and in person.
HEARING: Must be able to hear effectively in person, telecommunications.
