Position Overview: The Assistant Controller will oversee the company's accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
- Prepare budgets, financial reports, and monthly/year-end closings
- Conduct account reconciliations and analyses to maintain data accuracy and integrity
- Develop and monitor internal control systems for accurate financial reporting
- Maintain and troubleshoot operational and data documentation systems
- Collaborate with system vendors and consultants to optimize accounting software
- Prepare for audits and assist with special projects as needed
- Monitor operational data and ensure compliance with company standards
Assistant Controller Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or Audit; Bachelor’s preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated professionalism and accountability
