Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.
Summary:
The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the CM team and all other functions of the business for all aspects of the Configuration Management plan. Position would be in Midland, TX, may consider remote for ideal candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.
- Take responsibility for the execution of the configuration management process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and the management of the process improvement cycle.
- Develop, document, and coordinate implementation of policies, processes, practices, procedures, standards, and specifications for control of product configuration and project configuration information, and changes thereto, related to development, test, manufacture, and production of products, systems, and equipment.
- Support multiple development teams to ensure release content has been appropriately documented and traceability to requirements is preserved
- Manage customer stakeholders to ensure released contents are appropriately reviewed and any concerns are addressed.
- Participate in and represent the program on change control board meetings
- Coordinate Go-Live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists
- Facilitate the change Notification process used for updating product.
- Ensure notification of performing organizations or project teams of change activity.
- Train and present briefings to staff and peers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation and meet on a regular basis to ensure all CM products are up to date or require revision.
- Develop metrics and reports on the health and welfare of the project in relation to CM.
- Maintain accurate and up to date documents for Quality Assurance audits.
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience OR 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of education
- 5 years of previous release and/or project management experience
- Must have experience in management configuration programs
- Experience working with Autodesk Fusion 360, Team Center/Enova or similar product lifecycle management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and the ability to work on multiple web platforms.
- Auditing or working within an audit team to confirm compliance with documented procedures
- Ability to effectively drive results from start to finish in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Netsuite and/or Solumina
- Experience in aerospace or similar start-up environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models
