Responsibilities of an Automotive Shop Office Parts Associate
- Oversee the management of the parts department, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory control.
- Maintain accurate records of parts and materials, including purchase orders, invoices, and stock levels.
- Monitor and track the availability and usage of parts, ensuring timely reordering to prevent any disruptions in workflow.
- Collaborate with the service department to identify and fulfill parts requirements for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Train and supervise parts department staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new parts, and advancements in automotive technology to provide expert advice to customers and colleagues.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures in the parts department to maintain a secure working environment.
