Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions
- Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory reports
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
- Maintain working knowledge of various accounts throughout our companies
- Provide accounting support for other departments as needed
- Conduct regular account reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
