Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. As a Resident Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personal assistance and social engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility.
- Chaperone activities within the facility when required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Monitor and keep documentation pertaining to residents' functional status or condition in appropriate flow sheet binders.
- Maintain cleanliness as well as resident personal laundry.
- Support residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety during activities.
- Engage residents in social activities and community outings to enhance their well-being.

- Qualifications
- Experience with caregiving preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in dementia care or home community care is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
