Job Description
Bellefonte Area School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Substitute Paraeducator.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required
High School Diploma or GED is required
Job Responsibilities:
Outside Applicants:
Current Clearances Required (within past 5 years)
- Aids student(s) in understanding subject matter while ensuring classroom routines are followed
- Review and implement regular paraeducator routines, procedures, plans, and objectives
- Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual or small groups of students
- Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the students
- Assist with administrative duties such as setting up technology and preparing materials
- Address students’ physical, personal, emotional, and academic needs
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and administrative staff
Outside Applicants:
Current Clearances Required (within past 5 years)
- Act 34 (Criminal History)
- Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint)
- Act 151 (PA Child Abuse)
- Act 126 (Mandated Reporter Training)
Volunteer clearances will NOT be accepted.
