BESCO is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager that can enhance BESCOs market presence, nurture new client relationships and opportunities in order to increase overall profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth. This business leader will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to secure new projects and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive offerings.
- Analyze industry data and client feedback to develop targeted business development strategies and ensure alignment with companys strategic plans and profit goals.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential new clients and key industry partners.
- Actively seek out and engage with new clients through networking events, industry conferences, and other avenues.
- Spend at least 75% of your time in customer-facing roles, with a focus on identifying and developing new customer relationships.
- Oversee cash position by managing upfront payment terms and collections.
Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and build professional networks.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and emerging trends
- Act as a brand ambassador for BESCO, promoting its services and values.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and implement sales plans, annual sales forecasts and budgets for assigned accounts and territories. Regularly update and manage Salesforce and ensure achievement of sales revenue goals.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of business development strategies.
- Prepare regular reports outlining business development activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market analysis and client feedback.
- Manage accounts receivable follow-ups.
- Travel expectations = 40-50%
Qualifications:
A candidate should possess a combination of specific qualifications, skills, and experiences, including:
Industry Experience: Significant experience (typically 5-10 years or more) in business development within the electrical industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of electrical systems, components, and services. An understanding of the mechanical industry is preferred, but not required.
