Position Overview:
The HR Generalist works under the guidance of the Benefit-Talent Manager and assists the HR Department with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. The HR Generalist fulfills responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, and employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Track, process, and submit Sales/Rental Commission for payout.
- Involved in the onboarding process and conducting new hire orientations.
- Attending statewide career fairs to promote and highlight the available employment opportunities and benefits of working for the company.
- Assists in research, analysis, and presentation preparation for projects pertaining to recruitment, employee satisfaction and retainment.
- Explains company policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and responds to any inquiries/complaints.
- Process, verify and maintain personnel related documentation.
- Maintains highest level of confidentiality regarding prepared materials, telephone conversations, compensation, and any employee related issues.
- Prepare and maintain employment records such as hiring, terminations, transfers, and promotions.
- Assists with 401K and annual health insurance open enrollments for eligible employees by preparing, collecting, and processing documentation.
- Track and process annual Service Awards.
- Process employees boot and tool reimbursement checks.
- Fulfill reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA Compliance, COBRA and DOL guidelines.
- Conducts the Health & Wellness Committee and participates on the Safety Committee
- Coordinate wellness programs that offer employee incentives
- Other duties assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least two years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
