Injection Molding Set Up Technician

Schedule: 2nd Shift

Monday-Thursday 4pm-12:30am, Friday 12pm-8:30pm

The Injection Molding Set Up Tech will be responsible for ensuring Machine Up and Changeover times are consistent with company standards. Supports and directs employees to perform efficiently.

Essential Functions:

• Comply with all company and statutory safety rules to ensure the wellbeing of all departmental employees.
• Responsible for ensuring 5S is maintained within the department
• Responsible for ensuring that product is manufactured per quality plan.
• Responsible for changing equipment and tools required to run each product style.
• Reports any machine/equipment issues or repairs needed.
• Leads, coordinates, reviews, and evaluates work of his/her employees.
• Responsible for the training/developing of his/her employees.
• Must understand the manufacturing process and role of each direct report in it.
• Leads and coordinates the work of department/shift employees
• Responsible for the training/development of department/shift employees

• 5 years of experience in injection molding setup.
• Good understanding of injection molding processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to managers or employees of the organization.
