Overview
Position supports the Admission and Enrollment department to ensure accurate records are maintained for prospective and accepted students. Processes enrollment documentation and ensures necessary documents, including transcripts from prior institutions, have been received. Position verifies we follow applicable rules, regulations, and policies. Responds to inquiries, provides information, and advise on options and alternatives in pursuit of an informed decision concerning educational goals. Position provides general support for the Recruitment and Enrollment Services team.
This position will be open until filled, with a first review date of February 3, 2025. After this date, the recruitment may close without further notice. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Processing and acceptance of applications for admission.
Process all applications including review of documentation to determine if program prerequisites, state, federal and college policies have been met.
Verify the accuracy of information provided; enter and maintain information into the database, create student files.
Assign admission status and proper program code; notify applicants of status.
Research issues that arise pertaining to applications for admission and resolve using applicable rules and regulations.
Protect confidentiality and release records in compliance with FERPA.
Integrate new technologies into the admissions process to advance the goals of the Admissions Office and to streamline the workflow process.
Support special programs, including but not limited to fraudulent application detection.
Provide information and discuss options with prospective, current, and returning students.
Provide assistance in helping applicants and students understand the appropriate forms and procedures.
Advise the individual on options/alternatives available and what course(s) of action must be taken to meet admission objectives.
Interpret, apply, and explain policies, procedures, and regulations to students, staff, and the general public.
Work with CRM system and complete daily tasks to progress applications in the process.
Answer multi-line phone system and multiple email inboxes.
Act as a resource for high schools, colleges, staff for admissions and application questions.
Provide back-up support for other functions and operations in Student Services, including responding to inquiries/requests, assisting with tours and events, and working with students to apply.
Respond to inquiries and requests from other areas and refer as necessary.
Compile Early College data and communicate with school districts’ Early College representatives regarding admissions questions.
Notify Financial Aid Office when a change affects an individual’s financial aid eligibility.
Provide support for the Recruitment and the Enrollment team.
Compose, develop and format letters, memos, and forms for the Enrollment team.
Prepare special mailings regarding waitlists and petition processes.
Assist in preparations for large on-campus enrollment events.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate Degree in Administrative Professional or related field and a minimum of two years related occupational experience, or a minimum of four years related occupational experience.
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency/experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook.)
