AT A GLANCE:
The Learning & Development Assistant Manager reports directly to the Learning & Development Manager and is part of the People Department. This role will support department-specific and Enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives and objectives. With guidance from the Learning and Development Manager, this person will assist in prioritizing training needs and requests. They will collaborate with various levels of leadership on training initiatives to update content, develop new materials aligned with business objectives and performance/behavior gaps, and facilitate training programs.
DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Assist in identifying, understanding, prioritizing, and supporting training needs in collaboration with department leaders.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with supervisors and front-line Memory Makers to support business functions and role-specific training.
- Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain and refine training content.
- Maintain connections across the organization to stay informed of potential training needs and analyze performance deficiencies in collaboration with functional teams.
- Prepare and assist with the distribution of training materials, including participant & facilitator guides, handouts, and evaluation forms, support and deliver presentations and audiovisual setup.
- Act as a technical resource and SME for training programs that are developed and presented.
- Facilitate training sessions, effectively managing group discussions to enhance the learning experience.
- Assist in analyzing training effectiveness by gathering and utilizing evaluation results and feedback to recommend adjustments for learner comprehension and application.
- Provide support in evaluating employee performance after training sessions and suggesting additional learning opportunities as needed.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
- Contribute to the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) by assisting with course assignments, learning paths, reporting, and addressing Memory Maker inquiries.
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Required to work a hybrid work schedule reporting to the office in Fort Mill, SC as required by leadership with opportunity for remote days

Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Leadership experience and/or certifications in Learning and Development may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt training to different experience levels and utilize varied tools to develop employee knowledge and productivity. Experience coordinating training activities in a corporate, multi-site, or retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, motivational & facilitation skills.
- Developed problem solving skills and the ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with business stakeholders and leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, Education.
- Experience preferred using analytics to improve training programs and develop learning plans.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of proven learning and development facilitation experience preferred
