What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Specialist position at Broadcom?
Supports environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs and procedures for Broadcom’s Wireless Semiconductor Division in Fort Collins, CO. Coordinates implementation and continuously supports procedures that make up the Environmental Management System, in alignment with applicable regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and customer policies. Develops, implements, and tracks training courses in the e-learning system. Performs data gathering for environmental reporting. Manages databases to support environmental health and safety programs. Supports projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage databases for various EHS and Fab engineering programs
Develop, implement, track and support EHS training courses and programs in the e-learning system
Manage online SDS database, tracking sheet, and paper copies, assist site engineering in chemical approvals, and maintain chemical inventory
Compile data for greenhouse gas management; tracking and reporting to EPA, CDPHE and other interested parties
Support oversight of contractor EHS programs, including hazardous waste management and compliance
Assists with maintaining site’s ISO 14001 certification, support internal auditing and upkeep of documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Sciences field and 4 years of direct job experience in EHS programs and management systems.
Knowledge of data management, spreadsheets and structured problem solving methods is required. Knowledge of training development software (Articulate) and Cornerstone Learning Management System is preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards, SEMI standards and Best Known Methods (BKM) for semiconductor equipment, tools and abatement technology is preferred
Ability to professionally communicate, participate as team member, and when required contribute to project teams
Ability to enter manufacturing fabrication cleanrooms, wear cleanroom garments and frequently enter sub-fab and basement areas requiring personal protective equipment, working around hazardous substances and continuous standing or walking
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

This annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $76,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with the relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity award agreements.
