Job Title: Transition Coach for Life Connections Program
Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Transition Coach to support the Life Connections Program at FCI Milan in support of The Federal Bureau of Prisons .
This role is pivotal in aiding Adult in Custody (AIC) participants in their transition back into society by providing religious coaching and related services. The program aims to enhance personal transformation and reduce recidivism through spiritual growth and community reintegration.
Work Schedule:
- Provide approximately 30 one-hour sessions each week, totaling up to 1,440 sessions per year.
- The work schedule may include some weekend and/or evening hours based on program needs, and the specific breakdown of hours will be determined locally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 30 one-hour sessions per week, totaling up to 1,440 sessions annually.
- Develop and facilitate programs and seminars.
- Track community service hours for AIC participants.
- Provide job information and counseling for transitions.
- Foster relationships with a variety of religious communities.
- Maintain compliance with institutional rules and ensure a professional relationship with AICs.
- Attend required training and adhere to guidelines for services provided.
Qualifications:
- Ordination certificate or equivalent recognition as a clergy member.
- Minimum of three years of continuous, full-time experience in ministry.
- Bachelor’s degree in religion, counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certificate in Microsoft Excel or proof of enrollment in an Excel certification program (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-faith environment.
