The Brown Family Charitable Foundation – Kansas City seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the foundation's day-to-day operations and educational initiatives. This part-time role (15 - 20 hours per week) offers a flexible schedule but requires availability during school hours to assist with events and programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Foundation’s mission to elevate 21st-century education for preK-12 students in the Greater Kansas City Metro and beyond by Inspiring Leaders, Empowering Learners, and Uniting Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Support: Assist in planning and executing Foundation events, including school-day workshops, meetings, and community outreach. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, communicating with participants, and managing event materials.
- Operational Support: Provide essential support to ensure smooth daily operations, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, managing calendars, and preparing documents and correspondence.
- Communication Support: Assist with drafting, proofreading, and distributing internal and external communications, including emails, newsletters, and reports. Maintain contact lists and ensure timely communication with program stakeholders.
- Grant Process Assistance: Help manage the grant disbursement process by organizing documentation, assisting potential grantees, and preparing materials for review.
- Knowledge Management: Help manage the Foundation’s knowledge management system to facilitate information sharing and collaboration across teams and partners.

- Experience coordinating events or supporting project management
- Familiarity with survey tools and data analysis is a plus but not required
