Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our landscape maintenance operations. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for outdoor aesthetics and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of landscape maintenance, including lawn care, tree care, and irrigation systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all landscaping projects are completed to the highest standards while maintaining client satisfaction.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee lawn care activities, including mowing, fertilization, and tree care.
- Lead the installation of new landscape projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for all landscaped areas.
- Manage use and maintenance of all equipment/machinery used.
- General nursery operations, as well as locating and placing orders for trees, shrubs, and sod.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess the condition of landscapes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop work schedules for landscape crew to ensure adequate coverage during peak seasons.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related field is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, and irrigation systems.
- Must be able to understand and work with landscape and irrigation plot plans.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery such as bush hog, loaders, and skid steer.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
- Certification in horticulture or landscape management is a plus but not required.
