RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and fulfill production goals for the manufacturing team
- Prioritize daily production needs to ensure production schedule is fulfilled
- Identify and continually evaluate resource needs
- Evaluate equipment utilization and efficiency
- Ensure the work area is clean and safe by following all safety procedures and regulations
- Provide production updates to upper management and communicate issues that arise
- Partner with other departments including but not limited to manufacturing engineering and product engineering to improve process efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce manufacturing costs
- Ensure the continuity of processes across all work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment
- Conduct interviews and new hire onboarding
- Train employees on products and processes – retrain as needed
- Participate in the performance management process – provide employee coaching as needed.
- Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work related experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Team focused and can create team buy-in
- Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus
- Highly motivated, self-starter
