Welder Job Summary:
We are looking for an ASME Code Welder to join our team! This is a first shift position (Monday through Friday 5:00 am – 1:30 pm). Some Saturday may be required 7:00am - 12:00pm. Hours are subject to change depending on business needs. No travel required! The incumbent will assist the department by producing ASME Code pressure vessels. May assist in welding for other areas, as needed.
Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.
Welder Qualifications:
- Must be able to MIG, TIG, and Flux core weld.
- Must be able to read and follow drawing prints.
- Must be able to use tape measure, levels, weld gauges, grinder and saw to fabricate materials.
- Must be willing to train to use calculator to determine degree locations on heads and shells. Simple fraction and math skills needed.
- Must be willing to train to use submerged arc welding equipment.
- Must supply their own weld helmet. Other PPE will be provided.
Additional Welder Requirements:
- Must have the ability to:
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Lift 50 pounds unassisted safely.
- Walk, stand for extended periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, reach up, and reach down. Physical agility to weld inside of tanks is a must.
- Work overtime on the weekend as business conditions indicate.
- Work in non-climate-controlled areas.
- Follow work instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Wear protective gear such as welding helmet, face shield, hearing protection, safety glasses, dust mask, etc.
