SUMMARY

This position supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

· Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

· Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory in X3.

· Identify issues with inventory or discrepancies that affect production or supply chain, report to Warehouse Manager.

· Manage inventory control such that inventory accuracy is 98 %.

· Ensures all partial pallets are picked and completed for production.

· Develop warehouse associates and leads knowledge in their respective work areas.

· Counsel warehouse associates and leads when necessary.

· Maintain safe working practices for all associates

· Assists with special projects.

· Schedule and track PTO, leaves, etc.

· May assist workers in shipping & receiving activities.

· Other duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises shipping & receiving personnel as well as warehouse clerk.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in all phases of warehouse operations preferred.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects requiring judgment and initiative.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-pace, time-critical environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to use a 10-key with speed and accuracy.
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to successfully complete forklift certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

REQUIRED TRAINING

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
