THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, mechatronics engineering, control and automation engineering, or related field
- 3 years of experience in engineering project management
- 3 years of experience (which may be concurrent) in managing budgets, leading others, supporting team members, performing comprehensive risk assessments, and other leadership duties
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN AUTOMATION PROJECT MANAGER
As an Automation Project Manager, you will start your day by leading a cross-functional team of automation engineers using Scrum methodology, ensuring that the highest priority tasks align with project goals and customer needs. You will participate in internal project reviews, reporting on schedule and financial status using Business Warehouse/SAP ERP, and conduct both internal and external meetings to define, control, and monitor the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of projects. Your role will involve managing project deviations, approving technical change orders, and developing claim strategies. You will prepare documentation for installation processes, resolve issues that arise during the design, manufacturing, and commissioning phases, and track project schedules to ensure timely completion. Additionally, you will manage the budget, ensuring cost and quality control, and provide technical support for claim and deviation management. Your day will be filled with guiding your team, conducting risk assessments, and continually learning to apply new insights to your work.
