Our client is seeking a Legal Accounting-Billing Specialist to join their team, focusing on legal billing and accounting tasks. The role involves maintaining comprehensive billing records for assigned attorneys, reviewing and finalizing pre-bills, and ensuring compliance with client billing requirements and deadlines. Daily tasks include posting attorney time into the billing system and assisting with reporting, general ledger entries, wire transfers, and other accounting functions as needed.
The ideal candidate should be a strong team player with a basic understanding of accounting principles and a stable work history with stellar references. Experience in electronic billing and legal billing software, along with prior work in a law firm, is preferred. Basic bookkeeping experience and proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and billing software are essential. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and some college education is preferred, although a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
