Job Title: Coordinating Program Manager

Reports to: Program Director

Department: Outdoor School Program

Overall Function: Manage the Experiential Educators (EEs) to deliver high quality experiential programming for Joy clients. This includes hiring, training, scheduling and developing of EEs to be able to work or assist all departments at Camp Joy. Manage logistics and finalize agendas for upcoming groups. Serve as on-site coordinator primarily for Outdoor School Programs (OSP) groups but assists with all program departments. Present and/or actively participate in work groups and Joy meetings.

Summary of Responsibilities

1. Culture –Model the Camp Joy Way: a culture of client focus, collaboration, discipline, continuous improvement, creativity and innovation, and accountability focused on Camp Joy's mission and values.

2. Customer Service- Develop strong client relationships and go above and beyond to meet client needs. Asure appropriate communication occurs with the clients- program schedules, details and follow ups.

3. Program Development /Delivery- Manage high-quality experiential programming focused on innovation, client needs, and standards/guidelines. Assist with developing or updating new classes and curriculum annually to meet the needs of clients.

4. Community Relationships - Represent Camp Joy to the community. Professionally present at teacher meetings, offsite parent meetings, and trainings.

5. Staff Leadership/Development- Directly supervise the Experiential Educators and adjuncts through Selection, Training, Assessment, and Recognition.

6. Financial Performance – Assist in overseeing OSP budget focused on margin goals and philanthropic support. Manage the direct program expenses, and staff hours.

7. Business Operations- Adhere to and enforce all Joy policies, procedures, and deadlines. Communicate effectively with all Joy teams. Be accountable with accurate and timely data, forms and schedules.

8. Innovation / Continuous Learning - Ensure that the EEs continue to learn, innovate and develop, by focusing on new initiatives to individually grow as well as enhance the organization.

9. Logistics and Scheduling. - Collaborate with Business Manager to keep the flow of client logistics and details up to date on Camp Brain, line schedules and evening coordinator signups. Work with other managers to schedule Joy’s staffing needs with a month-out view. Schedule with EEs to set the line schedule 2 weeks out. Assist Business Manager and Sales Manager with the sales/rebooking process.

Requirements

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

· Must be able to carry supplies, etc. of at least 25 lbs., be able to work in an outdoor environment in all types of weather and walk on uneven surfaces.

Qualifications

· A college degree, professional certification or equivalent experience in a related field is required

· Experience in design and delivery of experiential learning and team building programs for youth and adults

· A life-long learner

· Employee must be organized, service oriented, have excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to lead and manage

· Experience working in a computerized office environment with a team orientation and multi-functional responsibilities. Strong computer competency with experience in Microsoft software applications

· Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Camp Joy’s policy
