Job Summary:
Candor Expedite is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Lead to oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring on-time execution and high levels of efficiency. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional with strong leadership skills who can optimize operational performance, mentor team members, and coordinate freight movement seamlessly.
The Dispatch Lead will act as the key liaison between Operations Specialists, Carrier Sales, and Account Management teams, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution in a high-pressure environment. The Dispatch Lead is also accountable for ensuring that all operational staff are consistently following the Candor Proven Process, maintaining operational efficiency, adherence to company standards, and high service levels. Additionally, the Dispatch Lead is responsible for ensuring that all shipments—days, nights, weekends, and 24/7 operations—are properly quoted, ensuring consistency and responsiveness in pricing and service execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee dispatch operations to ensure timely and cost-effective freight movement.
- Lead and support the operations team, including track & trace and nights/weekends crew.
- Monitor shipment execution and resolve operational issues in real-time to prevent delays.
- Collaborate with Carrier Sales and Account Management to align capacity with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Track key performance metrics (KPIs) and report operational performance to leadership.
- Train and mentor operations specialists to improve team effectiveness and accountability.
- Manage carrier relationships, ensuring compliance, service quality, and fair rate negotiations.
- Track and analyze carrier performance metrics to optimize partnerships and ensure service reliability.
- Ensure all operational staff adhere to the Candor Proven Process, maintaining consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure that all shipments—24/7 (days, nights, weekends)—are properly quoted to meet customer expectations.
- Utilize TMS (Turvo preferred) and other logistics software to monitor and coordinate shipments.
- Act as a primary escalation contact for urgent operational issues.

Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics operations, or freight brokerage.
- Strong understanding of load planning, routing, and transportation regulations.
- Proven ability to lead a team and improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in TMS systems (Turvo preferred) and logistics tracking tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
