Description
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take patient calls and provide accurate answers to their scheduling needs, questions and concerns.
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering support and assistance.
- Verify patient demographic information and insurance and make any changes needed.
- Take messages and transfer calls to clinical staff and providers as appropriate.
- Provide necessary information to pharmacies, medical records, and referrals department.
- Additional Responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word and how to use Electronic Medical Records.
- Experience with patient centered care.
- Punctuality and impeccable attendance.
- Excellent communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics.
- Non-judgmental approach to patient care.
- Technical skills with required office equipment.
- Patience and great attention to detail.
- Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.
- LGBTQIA cultural competency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care .
- Ability to adapt to a work environment that is constantly changing and not always structured.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, excited atmosphere.
- Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task.
