Starting Pay: $73,068.95– $87,248.15/annually.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for developing, delivering, tracking and evaluating success of training programs for staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates individual and/or group training programs for staff, including training rosters, materials, manuals, and presentations.
- Facilitates, executes and supports new employee activities and orientation programs.
- Promotes a positive experience for employee’s entry into the agency workforce.
- Coordinates special projects, events and programs, as requested.
- Works with management staff to individualize training for specific employees who need more assistance in targeted areas.
- Demonstrates commitment to agency policies and practices.
- Exhibits positive energy and the ability to motivate others, build morale and gain group commitment to goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of the training programs.
- Prepares and implements a recordkeeping system for maintaining accurate and complete tracking of trainings, attendance dates, participants, and other relevant information.
- Provides training to staff or community based on subject matters familiarity as requested by supervisor.
- Maintains the agency’s training activity calendar.
- Assists in the coordination of mandated trainings (i.e. Management Sexual Harassment Training AB 1825, etc).
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the Regional Center mandates, principles and philosophy.
- Represents the Regional Center in the community, as requested.
- Interfaces and assists with community partners, as requested.
- Supports effective and efficient business practice.
- Maintains positive business relationships, confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a major emphasis in Training, Organizational Design, Organization Development or a related field plus Three (3) years of experience -OR- a Master’s degree in Organizational Development or related field, plus Two (2) years of experience.
- Experience in training (individuals and groups) and training development in an organizational setting; developing curriculums; organizing, facilitating and performing training sessions.
- Familiarity with Audio and video equipment and technologies to support training and presentation session.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to present training opportunities that meet those principles.
- Comfortable in public speaking and presenting to various groups.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Requires excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles.
- Strong computer and software application skills (word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, e-mail, e-learning).
- Ability to utilize multimedia equipment in delivering presentations and training.
- Must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, sound independent judgment, flexibility, strong interpersonal, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual skills desirable.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to travel within CVRC’s six-county-wide region as assigned or required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Professional office environment. Noise level in the office is low to moderate depending on area. Individual workspace is assigned and varies from open cubicle to private office.
