Job Description – Inside Sales / Data Entry
Position Title: Inside Sales / Data Entry Representative
Department: Sales & Customer Service
Reports To: Sales Manager / Office Manager
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales / Data Entry Representative is responsible for supporting sales operations by managing customer inquiries, processing quotes and orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role also handles data entry tasks including entering sales information, updating customer records, and assisting with administrative functions in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins.
- Prepare and submit sales quotes based on customer specifications.
- Enter and manage sales orders into ERP system (e.g., Fulcrum, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and pricing records.
- Follow up on quotes and convert opportunities into orders.
- Coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure order accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Generate job travelers and work orders as needed.
- Perform routine data entry and update spreadsheets, logs, and customer information.
- Assist in preparing sales reports and tracking KPIs.
- Support outside sales and shop floor teams with administrative needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales support, data entry, or customer service (manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems is a plus (Fulcrum, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime during high-demand periods
Compensation & Benefits:
