What will a Human Resources Specialist do?
- Through words and actions support Chattanooga Goodwills Mission, Vision, and Values; furthermore, actions and decisions will align with organizational guiding principles.
- Maintain agency, employee, and participants confidentiality. Violation of confidentiality may be cause for termination.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, confirm/update job descriptions, and oversee hiring documentation.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies using both traditional and creative sourcing methods.
- Manage and analyze hiring data to identify trends and propose solutions for recruitment challenges.
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding.
- Manage the applicant tracking program and process.
- Ensure ongoing clear and consistent communication with hiring managers and candidates to deliver outstanding customer experience.
- Coordinate for new hire orientation, ensuring alignment with company values and policies.
- Oversee pre-employment screenings, background checks, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all hiring records are accurately maintained per company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with pre-employment screening vendors and monitor service quality.
- Provide hiring progress reports and collaborate with managers to improve hiring practices.
- Ensure consistency and integrity in all hiring processes and documentation.
- Helps ensure the alignment of all Human Resources SOPs involving the hiring of GIGCA team members
- Oversee temporary workers and volunteer processes.
- When requested, they may represent the organization at job fairs and hiring events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
