Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and a good understanding of various payroll systems and processes.
Payroll: Input payroll data, including deductions and time off, and generate payroll using an automated system. Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour and programmatic regulations. Ensure compliance with employment contracts.
Navigate the Electronic Visit Verification system to resolve payroll and timecard issues.
Checking the number of hours employees have worked. Calculating wages and salaries. Calculating pay raises and overtime compensation. Deducting tax, garnishments, union dues and insurance payments
Resolving issues employees have with timesheets and other payroll matters
Issuing employees’ wages by check or electronic transfer. Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately
Assists employees in registering for or resetting access to online portal.
Research and resolve employee pay issues.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA and ACA requirements as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Processes and administers all FMLA requests and disability paperwork.
Employee Termination: Follow warning and termination procedure including issuing these. Properly record, track and administer the steps needed to comply with COBRA law and appropriately deliver continuation of employee benefits.
Employee records: Maintain employee files. Oversee auditing processes to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for employee file maintenance and storage retention requirements. Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
Data Integrity: Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments and provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Updates US and MN Bureau of Labor Statistics database with new and changing information; ensures accuracy and integrity of information.
Payroll taxes and reports: Prepare and process year-end, quarterly, and bi-weekly reports. Completes annual reporting for employee benefits: ACA, Workers Comp, Unemployment, etc.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper maintenance of employee data. Assisting other team members as time permits.
Training: Participate in training and collaboration to develop professionally.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
