What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Supervisor I&I Control position at Chesterfield County?
High school diploma or GED, four years’ experience in wastewater utility field, including two years Supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of the operation of sewer systems and CCTV maintenance and operation. Knowledge in the operation of installing and collecting data using open channel sewer flow meters. Working skill in keeping accurate CCTV inspection and sewer flow meter records. Must be multi-tasked oriented and able to work under stressful and demanding situations. Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills required. PC experience in Microsoft office preferred. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Supervision of two Principal Labor Crew Chiefs and four Utility TV Technicians. Overseeing CCTV inspection and Sewer Flow Metering programs. Retrieving data from CCTV inspection vehicles and sewer flow meters and compiling reports for distribution. Manage I&I control budget to include utilizing procurement software to issue purchase orders. Make repairs to equipment; maintain spare equipment parts; conducting annual employee evaluations; maintain accurate records; perform other duties as required. PLEASE NOTE: Overtime may be required to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; includes evenings, weekends, and holidaysUtilities
