Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional service. Your expertise in food handling and customer interaction will contribute to the overall experience of our guests, making each visit memorable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth café operations.
• Stay informed about menu offerings and promote sales through effective communication with customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or the café industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow effectively.
• Experience using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus but not required.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
