Looking for a rep to cover the Minneapolis area and one rep to cover NW IOWA/ SW South Dakota

Job summary

To establish and drive new business through rental revenue opportunities using a consultative and relational sales approach in a highly competitive industry. This includes selling contractual agreements to businesses.

Duties and essential job functions

  • Increase company revenue by selling rental service agreements and direct sale products. Engaging in prospecting, cold-calling, sales qualification, sales presentations, follow-up appointments, territory management etc. to insure weekly goals in new agreements.
  • Utilize CITY’s relationship management software program, Saleforce.com, to generate leads so that appointments may be set with qualified prospects. All prospect information must be entered accurately and timely to help with lead generation and maintenance.
  • Must be able to work independently and self manage activity and territory
  • Set an average of 4 appointments per day using sales techniques taught by the Director of Sales.
  • Present proposals to interested prospects using the selling system and methods taught by the Director of Sales.
  • Follow up with potential customers on sales proposals and be involved and every step of the sales process from initial appointment to delivery and use Salesforce.com to keep track of the different stages of the sales process.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of CITY’s products and services and how they are used.
  • At a minimum the Sales Representative will work in the field Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. meeting with prospects and scheduling appointments, phone prospecting and completing additional administrative tasks.
  • Maximize customer contract term and account profitability
  • Provide prompt, effective solutions to customer needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Maximize account profitability;
  • Represent the company in a positive manner and dress and act professionally at all times.
  • Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and keep company vehicle clean and organized.
  • Positive communication with customers, potential customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • This position requires regular and reliable attendance.

Minimum requirements
Clean driving record and valid Iowa drivers license required.

A Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.

1-3 years job related and/or sales related experience preferred.
