COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & NEIGHBORHOODS
The City of Lima, Ohio is currently accepting resumes for the position of Community Development Specialist in the Department of Housing & Neighborhoods. The Community Development Specialist is responsible for supporting and facilitating community development projects, programs, and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. This position collaborates with community stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to address housing, economic development, and community planning needs. The specialist will promote sustainable community development through effective program management, grant administration, and policy implementation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in community development, housing, economic development, or a related area. Experience in grant writing and administrating. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Community Development, or related field. Familiarity with local, state, federal community development and housing regulations. Experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
Starting Pay Range: $29.24 per hour; $2,339.20 bi-weekly
