Job Objective: To receive telephone calls for emergency and non-emergency services and enter information into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, using the Priority Dispatch protocol software system.
This position is eligible for:
$2500.00 Hiring Incentive payable successful completion of the classroom and training program (typically 16 weeks long)

Emergency Communications Operator Selection Process
Step One: Application: Applicants will submit on-line applications, with supplemental questions during the posting period.
Step Two: Non-proctored CritiCall Exam: (ongoing throughout application period) -Human Resources will send a testing link via email to all candidates and a deadline for testing completion.
Step Three: Virtual Interviews: (ongoing throughout application period) - Upon successful completion of CritiCall, candidates will be sent a link to participate in the first round of interviews to be conducted virtually via Spark Hire.
Step Four: Departmental Interview: Based on CritiCall and Sparkhire results, selected candidates will be invited to participate in the panel interviews to be conducted by departmental representatives tentatively scheduled the week of 2/10 - 2/14/25
Step Five: Pre-Employment Screenings/Hiring: Human Resources will extend conditional offers of employment to candidates selected by the departmental panel to move further in the selection process. A final hiring decision will be dependent on successful completion of backgrounds, medical and drug/alcohol screening. Tentative target Academy start date is April 7th, 2025.
