HUMAN RESOURCES/RISK MANGEMENT DEPARTMENT
Under general supervision, the purpose of the job is to conduct professional level work in the planning, organization and coordination of the City's risk management programs to include risk identification, evaluation and prevention. Employee works in accordance with departmental directives and is expected to exercise independence and initiative. May be required to act for the Human Resources/Risk Management Director during periods of absences or as directed. Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Business, or Public Administration or closely related field; supplemented by four (4) years of experience in risk management to include loss control, worker's compensation, general and automobile liability, property damage, risk control administration, and safety training or closely related experience. Must possess a valid Florida (Class E) Driver's License.
Employee shall obtain the National Incident Management System ICS-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System and IS-700 National Incident Management System, An Introduction within six (6) months of employment. The following courses are designed to provide a baseline, as they introduce basic NIMS and ICS concepts and provide the foundation for higher level Emergency Operations Center (EOC), MACS, and ICS related training.
