General labor work, typically alongside City staff, associated with light/medium intensity maintenance work on a variety of city assets as needed or assigned.This is a seasonal, full-time position, working up to 40 hours per week from April - November. Standard hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Occasionally hours may include nights and weekends.
This position is eligible for a retention bonus: Employees in this position will earn an additional 50 cents/hour for each hour worked during the season (March-November) if they work a minimum of 320 hours and meet performance requirements.

- Asphalt patching/paving projects.
- Crack sealing.
- Retaining wall rebuilds.
- Assist with painting of traffic markings.
- Assist with minor concrete patching/repairs.
- Other routine maintenance may include:
- Cleaning bus shelters.
- Catch basin cleaning.
- Building maintenance (cleaning, painting, landscape, mowing).
- Other maintenance duties as assigned.
- Valid Class D driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort with supporting the city’s strategic objectives for advancing racial equity.

- Ability to:
- Operate and back up vehicles with a trailer attached.
- Operate and understand GPS equipment.
Salary : $21 - $26
